Charlotte J. Richardson

Charlotte J. Richardson NEWPORT — Charlotte J. Richardson, 78, passed away Nov. 28, 2021 peacefully at New London Hospital after a short period of declining health. She was born in Concord, New Hampshire, on June 28, 1943, to the late Eugene Temple Sr. and Sarah (Mignault) Temple. Charlotte worked at Sportwelt Shoe Co., Woodlawn Care Center, and spent more than 20 years working for the State of New Hampshire. In retirement, she also worked for the Meriden Church. Charlotte enjoyed her life and loved spending time with her family. She liked family get-togethers and was always up for a game of washer toss. She liked to go fishing and traveled several times to Nova Scotia. She always wanted to make sure her hair was done. Charlotte was predeceased by her parents; brother, Sylvester Temple; sister, Betty Gosselin; brother-in-law, Edward Flanders Sr.; and grandson, Jacob Raymond. Surviving family members include her children, Suzanne Richardson, of Newport, Edward Richardson and his wife, Renee, of Franklin, and Michael Richardson, of Newport; siblings, Eugene Temple Jr. and his wife, Patricia, Frederick Temple Sr., Linda Flanders and her husband, Jerry, Marilla Flanders, and Barbara Warriner and her husband, Gary; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Newport, New Hampshire. Burial will be held in Sunny Plain Cemetery in Bradford, New Hampshire, in spring of 2022.
