Susan Williams

Susan (Swensen) Williams CORNISH — Susan Ann “Sue” (Swensen) Williams, 65, of Cornish, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021. She is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Randy Williams. Susan was born Nov. 20, 1956, in Victoria, Texas, a daughter of Lee Marshall Swensen and Emily Ruth (Holmes) Swensen. She graduated from Stevens High School, class of 1974. Sue had been employed by Dartmouth College and previously at Holson Photo Albums. Sue enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, her fur babies but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren, Aiden and Ashlynn Hamel, Matthew Balser, Isabelle, Rowan and Dexter Caffrey, Logan Caffrey and Noah Farnsworth, and Tyler Flood. She is survived by her children, Shawn Caffrey, of Cornish, New Hampshire, Kristen Balser and husband Gregg, of Rochester, New Hampshire, Kathryn Williams and fiancé Travis Handt, of Claremont, New Hampshire, and Kevin Caffrey and wife Chelsea, of Quechee, Vermont. Also surviving are her siblings, Bob Swensen, of Enfield, New Hampshire, Mike Swensen and wife Wendy, of Wakefield, Rhode Island, Linda Brown and husband Jeff, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Patricia Olivier and husband Bill, of Cornish, New Hampshire; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Sue was predeceased by her parents; younger brother, Jon Swensen; and niece, Elizabeth Swensen. In honor of Sue’s down-to-earth nature, the family asks that casual dress be observed at the services and, in lieu of flowers, they request donations be made in Sue’s name to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center at https://cancer.dartmouth.edu/donate. There will be visiting hours from 5-7 p.m., with a service at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St. in Claremont, New Hampshire.
