Aimee C. Olson

Aimee C. Olson LEBANON — Aimee Cecile Olson, 46, passed away at her home in Lebanon, New Hampshire, on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, due to complications of disease progression. She fought bravely for many years and had her longtime boyfriend, true love and personal “Superman” by her side, as well as her two cherished rescue cats, Wally and Willow, as she peacefully moved on from this life. Aimee was born on Nov. 20, 1975, in Berlin, Vermont. She attended schools in Orange and Windsor, Vermont, and lived in several communities as an adult, including Claremont, Hanover and Lebanon, New Hampshire. Aimee was a talented artist, devoted friend, lover of music, excellent cook and baker, and she had an undying love for all of Earth’s creatures. She adopted countless domestic animals over her lifetime and symbolically adopted several endangered species. She is survived by her two children, Darwin and Genae; her father, Arthur Olson; and her domestic partner, Marcus Kenney. She was predeceased by her sister, Angela Carole Gaskin; and her mother, Annette Marie Somerville. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the numerous staff members from Lake Sunapee VNA & Hospice, BAYADA Hospice, and the Upper Valley Senior Center/Meals on Wheels for their commitment, care and concern for Aimee over these last difficult months. We couldn’t have done it without their support! It was Aimee’s greatest wish in life that animal cruelty, abuse and suffering be eliminated. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, Aimee requested that contributions be made to the Sullivan County, Upper Valley or Lucy MacKenzie humane societies, or an animal welfare organization of your choosing. There will be a private memorial service with her close friends and family at a future date.
