Faith Ferguson SUNAPEE — Faith Edith Ames McLean Ferguson, 81, of Ormond Beach, Florida, formerly of Sunapee, New Hampshire, entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at Advent Health Medical Center in Ormond Beach, Florida, comforted by her family. Faith was born at home on Jan. 30, 1940, in Saugus, Massachusetts, as the daughter of the late Ernest Ames and Mildred (Wasson), and was the second oldest child of six children. After becoming the loving mother to her four beloved children from 1956-1962, Faith completed her high school education and attended college with a course of study focused on business and accounting. Faith worked as a teller and bank manager at the Woburn Five Savings Bank in Woburn, Massachusetts, and later went on to manage accounts and billing for Hale Hospital in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, New Hampshire, and retired from medical billing in Ormond Beach, Florida. Faith fell in love with and married her late husband, John “Douglas” McLean, of Saugus, Massachusetts, in 1969, and the two enjoyed spending time with children and grandchildren, family and friends, making each other laugh, fine dining, traveling, outdoor activities, boating, and building and retiring in their log home in Sunapee, New Hampshire. After her husband, Doug, passed in 1998 from metastatic cancer, Faith moved to Ormond Beach, Florida, in 2002, where she continued managing accounts for the local hospital, staying active, making friends everywhere she went, and playing mah-jongg, Texas Hold ‘Em, bowling, and filling her life with friends, family, travel, quilting, fun and laughter. There, she met and married her husband, Barrett Ferguson, in 2007, and the two had many happy times, adventures, world travels, time with family and friends, and worked together to never fail to miss a birthday or important occasion. Faith was full of life and light, quick-witted, sharp and perceptive, a pillar of faith, joy and strength. She was always ready to be silly and share her special brand of humor. Faith never let the challenges of life keep her down long, and was a beautiful example to her loved ones of optimism, humor and fire in the face of trials. She left a wonderful lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Faith was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mildred; her sisters, Phyllis, Patricia and Brenda; and brother, Ernest. Faith was also preceded in death by her dear loved ones, namely husband John Douglas McLean in 1998; son Bruce L. Bolduc in 2009; daughter Charlene M. (Bolduc) Slason in 1994; and grandson Tyler D. Slason in 2016. Faith will be sadly missed by her husband, Barrett Ferguson, of Ormond Beach, Florida; daughter, Pamela Geisler and her husband, Mark, of Danville, New Hampshire; and youngest son, Douglas Bolduc, of Tucson, Arizona. Faith is also survived by one sister, Marcia Ames, of Derry, New Hampshire; and will forever be fondly remembered by her eight surviving grandchildren (Elizabeth, Kimberly, Crystal, Jason, Melissa, Ashley, Claudia and Alexcy); 10 beloved great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of Faith’s life at Chadwick Funeral Home in New London, New Hampshire, on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, with visitation hours from 10-12, and memorial service from 12-1. Loved ones are invited to attend a luncheon in Faith’s honor to follow. A small graveside service in Eastman Cemetery in Sunapee, New Hampshire, will be held at interment in the springtime.
