Letter to the Editor: Regarding Unity’s library situation

This letter is regarding the Unity Free Library and one of its volunteers.

Although I am 71 years old and been away from Claremont for many years I have remained friends with Sally Weston Teague since I was in grammar school. She is one of the most honest people I know. She has worked hard her entire life and truly cares about helping those in need and contributing to her community.

The accusations I have read regarding her character is beyond belief. In this world today, not only do we have politicians whose character is suspect, there are many who have power that are not held accountable.

When I heard Sally was a write-in ballot appointee, I immediately felt the library was getting a smart, hardworking, honest and trustworthy volunteer. There are many of us who know Sally and want to show support for her, thus my letter to the editor. I am honored to call Sally Weston Teague my friend and hopefully, the people that are involved will see the same wonderful qualities that I have witnessed for the last 60 years.

I am appalled at the situation facing Sally and would advise her to fight on and bring to light the actual situation that exists today.
