Local Roundup: Wildcats JV team drops 1st game of the season

The Fall Mountain boys junior varsity basketball team lost their first game of the season to fall to 8-1.

Conant led 32-22 at the end of the third quarter before a late run by Fall Mountain came up just short in the end, losing 41-39.

Fall Mountain was led by Owen Riendeau (12 points) Ledger Willet (eight points) and Tyson Patch (seven points).

Springfield 54, Mill River 12Macie Stagner poured in 21 points to lead the Cosmos. Megan Stagner and Amelia Murchie each finished with seven points. Springfield improves to 6-2 and hosts Fair Haven (9-2) on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Windsor 81, Otter Valley 34Windsor was led by Reese Perry’s 22 points, 13 rebounds, three steals, two assists, and two blocks.

Elliot Rupp added 16 points, eight assists, five steals.

Peyton Richardson contributed 12 points, five rebounds, and two steals.

Brianna Barton had 10 points and Holly Putnam had a statline of seven points, six steals, two assists, and two rebounds.

The Jacks (9-1) head to (2-4) Lake Region on Saturday.
