Evan DePoyster

Evan DePoyster CLAREMONT — Evan Hae An DePoyster, age 34, died Jan. 2, 2022, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, after falling ill, on top of his declining health from Huntington’s disease. Evan was born in Ulsan, South Korea, and was raised in Claremont, New Hampshire, by his parents. He graduated from Stevens High School and then attended one year of college. He joined the Army National Guard in 2008 and traveled on assignment to Afghanistan in 2010. He had much appreciation for the culture and the scenery there. He lived in Connecticut for six years. The last six months of his life, he was lovingly cared for by his brother, Ethan, and Ethan’s family. Evan will be greatly missed by his grandmother, Marjorie Schindelar and Bill Frye, of New Jersey; his parents, Gary and Barbara DePoyster, of Claremont; his brother, Ethan DePoyster and his family, Courtney and Izabella DePoyster and Chandra Davis; his sisters, Kristy Kiessling and Kimberly Hamel and their families. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard H. Schindelar; and his nephews, Donavin DePoyster and Gage Anthis. Evan will be interred in the New Hampshire Veterans Affairs cemetery and a celebration of life will be planned in the future.
