Stacia Siliski Lihatsh

Stacia Siliski Lihatsh SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Stacia Siliski Lihatsh, a remarkably loving and kind mother, grammy, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in the early morning on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022. She was 93. Stacia was born in Springfield on Aug. 31, 1928, to Joseph and Tatiana Siliski. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1946 and attended Burdett College in Boston where she majored in secretarial studies. She married the love of her life, David Lihatsh, on May 12, 1951, at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church. The pair opened Jack & Jill Restaurant in North Springfield in 1954, which they owned and operated until 1966. Stacia then worked at Springfield Hospital, A.M. Peisch, and Woodlan Tool where she stayed until she retired in 1992. Stacia was a devout member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church. She loved coffee, gameshows and, most of all, her family. Stacia is survived by her brother, Eugene Siliski (Vicki Siliski); her children, Cynthia Lihatsh, Elisabeth Roberts (Robert Roberts), and David Lihatsh (Courtney Lihatsh); her grandchildren, Nicholas Roberts (Amy Roberts), Anastasia Neil (J. Curtis Neil), Natalie Mansell (Michael Mansell), Tatiana Roberts, and Sophia Lihatsh; and her great-grandchildren, Ethan and Logan Roberts and Lena and Brendan Neil. Stacia was predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Helen Siliski, Lena Siliski Baskevich, John Siliski, Walter Siliski, Valentina Siliski, Mary Siliski Thompson, Amelia Siliski Karp, Michael Siliski, Steven Siliski, Victor Siliski and Joseph Siliski. Stacia’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Caloras’s office and the amazing staff at VNH for their care and support over the past few months. Visiting hours will be at Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield on Sunday, Feb. 27, from 2-4 p.m. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church on Monday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. with Father Mircea Geana officiating. All are invited. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Stacia’s name to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 90 Park St., Springfield, VT 05156.
