After returning home from the military, he met his wife, Jean (Moote) Porter. They would go on to spend nearly 50 years together before his passing. Roger was known for being a dedicated family man. He had a special bond with his daughter, Priscilla, and loved his stepdaughters as his own. Roger enjoyed listening to his Johnny Cash and Elvis records. He had a passion for working on old cars with his cousin-turned-best-friend, Phil, and if they were not in the garage working on cars, you could find them out fishing for the next big catch. He enjoyed a close bond with Claude, a loyal friend. He loved visiting his daughter, Priscilla, in Kentucky. Roger was a dedicated Grampa, as well. He loved all his people and never missed a chance to show them. He will be deeply missed by so many.
