Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 transmission, and in keeping with state and federal public health guidance, masks are again required when visiting the Springfield Senior Center. Thank you for helping us protect our community.
Corn Hole and Shuffleboard will be on Friday, April 1, at 1 p.m. Hand & Foot cards will be on Wednesday, April 13, at 1 p.m. Board games will be on Tuesday, March 29, at 1 p.m. Bingo will be on Friday, April 8, at 1 p.m. Come down and have some fun! We now have indoor walking in the gym on Mondays at 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Tuesday through Friday at 11 a.m. to noon.
We will be having a movie afternoon on Wednesday, March 30, at 1 p.m. Come watch a movie and enjoy some popcorn.
The Knit Wits will be meeting on Thursday, April 7, at 1 p.m. This is a group of knitters or crocheters at any level, or if you just want to learn. We have knitting needles, crochet hooks and yarn available. Interested, just show up and have some fun.
Our first trip of the year will be to the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine to see the show “Cher.” Join us as we travel to Ogunquit on Wednesday, May 18. Lunch will be at Warrens Lobster House, and trip to “When Pigs Fly” bakery is also a popular stop. Sign up today. Price is $149 for members, $179 for nonmembers. At this time, we need a few more folks to sign up to make this trip possible, deadline to sign up is Friday, April 15. Proof of vaccination and photo ID is required for the Playhouse.
The Sunapee Luncheon Cruise is on Wednesday, June 29. Sign ups will start on Monday, April 18. Active members at 9 a.m. and nonmembers at 10:30 a.m. Price for this trip is $55 for active members and $75 for nonmembers.

— Fosters Lobsterbake with Icon & Legends Tribute show in York Maine on Tuesday, July 19.
— New London Playhouse with lunch served before.
— Lake Champlain Luncheon Cruise.
— Essex Stream Train and River Boat with lunch served.
— Three-day Nantucket Island from Sunday, Sept. 11, to Tuesday, Sept. 13.
Tracy Blanchard from Senior Solutions will be available at the Senior Center the first and third Tuesday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each month to help with Medicare questions. You can call the center to set up an appointment.
Appointments will be needed for the foot clinics. You can call the center to schedule one. The price for this service will still be $20. Janet Hunter RN, will be offering clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
