Ginger (Gnatek) Chan

Ginger (Gnatek) Chan CLAREMONT — Born Ginger Lee Gnatek on April 9, 1970, it is with great sadness we announce that Ginger Lee Chan passed away on April 19, 2022. She fought a good fight but finally succumbed to liver cancer. Ginger was a lifelong resident of Claremont, New Hampshire. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Plymouth State University in 1996. She was a para teacher in the Claremont grade school system for many years, which was the highlight of her life. She loved all the kids she taught and carried each one of them in her heart. She also tutored many of them outside of school. She loved to volunteer at the Sullivan animal shelter in Claremont. She adored her “kitty cats” and wanted to save them all. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends going out for lunch and afternoon shopping. Her fun spirit and big heart will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends. There will be a memorial service to celebrate her life on May 14, 2022, at the Riverstone Church, 739 Main St., Claremont, New Hampshire, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Ginger has asked for donations to be made to the Sullivan County Humane Society or the Riverstone Church community outreach program. Arrangements are with Stringer Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 146 Broad St., Claremont, NH 03743. To view an online memorial or send a private message of condolence, visit www.stringerfh.com.
