Dylan Marsh: Eagle Times Staff

By Tyler Maheu
EAGLE TIMES STAFF
Born in Claremont on April 1, 1991, Dylan Marsh was raised exclusively in the area. “I love the area, the more time I have spent away from it, the more I like it,” says Marsh. He moved to Newport as a child, and graduated from Newport High School in 2009, and it was there where he found his passion for writing. “I liked doing it in school, but I started mostly with writing songs. From there, I began writing scripts, and started a fake news show,” says Marsh. “While doing that, I found that I liked doing actual news more than I expected.” Marsh is looking to continue honing his writing craft by attending school at River Valley Community College and plans to transfer to Keene State in the fall. A love for the Eagle Times and local news brought him to the position, “The Eagle was the first newspaper I ever read,” he says. Marsh has a passion for local news, and for locals writing their news. He believes that when a reporter moves to an area that they are not from, there is a disconnect with the locals. When it comes to what Marsh hopes to bring to the paper, he says, “I want to write articles that are so specific to our area, and about the people here, that you need to grab the paper to see what is going on.”
