Barbara Hadley White

Barbara Hadley White THE VILLAGES, Fla. — Barbara Hadley White passed away on May 6, 2022, at her home in The Villages, Florida, with her husband, Robert White, and their daughter, Ann White. She was born on March 14, 1935, in Claremont, New Hampshire. She resided in the Upper Valley for 55-plus years. She was a member of the Norwich Congregational Church and attended the Valley Bible Church in White River Junction, Vermont. She worked for the New England phone company, AT&T and Bell Labs. She was a life member of the American Hospital Associates of Engineers. She retired from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center as a director to go work with her husband in the property management business. They traveled to most all states in their Airstream. They spent some time working for Habitat for Humanity in their travels. She loved music; she sang with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Barbara was a gifted pianist and had a gift of communication (loved by all) who knew her. She was predeceased by William Robert “Billy” White. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Van de Bogart, of California; her daughter, Marlene and her husband, Malcolm Bell, of Vermont; son Randy White and his wife, Dr. Laura Flashman, of North Carolina; daughter Catherine and her husband, Michael Alescio; and her grandchildren, Ryan White and his wife, Erin, of Florida, Michael William Alescio and Nicholas Alescio and Christina Alescio, of New Jersey, Erin White, of New York. She dedicated her body to medical research. Barbara always ended a conversation with “stay strong,” and she did. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
