Kathleen S. Smith SUNAPEE — Kathleen S. Smith, 86, of Sunapee, New Hampshire, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at New London Hospital in New London, New Hampshire. She was born on Feb. 29, 1936, to Maurice and Glencia (Chapman) Sinclair, in Newport, New Hampshire. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Irving, of Sunapee, New Hampshire, and several nieces and nephews. Kathy graduated from Newport High School as valedictorian in 1954. Over her professional life, she worked in banking and later, as co-owner of Smith Machine of Guild, New Hampshire. She was a dedicated wife and always focused on the family business. She enjoyed RVing, boating, walking, swimming, skiing, and ice skating. Throughout it all, she especially enjoyed her dogs and the tranquility of her backyard swing. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport, New Hampshire. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.newtonbartlett.com/listings.
