Joy Takes Student of the Month

PROVIDED
It is a pleasure to announce that Sapphire (Sassy) Joy has been named the June Elks Student of the Month for Bellows Falls Union High School. Sassy, a senior, is the daughter of Scott Joy and Stephanie Lawlor of Bellows Falls.

Sassy is a dedicated student who goes above and beyond the expectations of class assignments. She regularly puts in the extra time needed to turn in exceptional work, and works hard to improve her skills. She is a member of the Jesse A. Judd Marilee Huntoon BFUHS Chapter of the National Honor Society. Sassy participated in the early college program through Castleton State University this year.

Kind, caring and considerate of others, Sassy goes out of her way to offer a friendly hello or bright smile to everyone she meets. She is outgoing and actively participates in classes and activities. She is inclusive of others and works hard to include everyone in class activities.

A dedicated member of the BFUHS Drama Club and tennis team, Sassy serves as a good role model and leads by example. She is one of the first to offer a positive word of encouragement to her classmates, teammates and cast when someone is struggling. She is eager to work hard and to lend a helping hand without being asked.

Clearly deserving of recognition, BFUHS and the Elks are proud to have Sassy represent us as the June Student of the Month.
