Frances E. Clow BRADFORD — Frances E. Clow, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at her home in Bradford, New Hampshire, with her husband at her side. Frances was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on July 3, 1942, to Roger A. and Juliette (Roy) Laferriere. Fran graduated from Peterborough High School in 1960 and subsequently received her nursing degree at Mass. General Hospital, Boston. During her nursing career, Fran worked in various hospitals in the Claremont and New London area and contributed to the inception of the Cardiac Care Unit at Mary Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover. After marrying, Fran worked as an office nurse for Drs. Mario and Helena Alvarez (Claremont, New Hampshire) for 10 years. Leaving nursing, Fran turned to banking for 26 years, beginning as a teller and retiring as VP, director of human resources for Lake Sunapee Bank. Fran was predeceased by two sisters, Sr. Alice Laferriere, of the Sisters of the Assumption, and Louise (Laferriere) Waltz, of North Conway, New Hampshire. She is survived by one sister, Denise (Laferriere) Perry and her husband, John Perry, of St. Johnsbury, Vermont; and one brother, Roy Laferriere, of Orange Park, Florida; along with several nieces and nephews. Fran is survived by her husband of 54 years, Verne R. Clow. She was predeceased (in 1994) by one son, Ethan S. Clow; and is survived by one son, Aaron D. Clow, of Farmingville, Long Island, New York, and daughter-in-law, Victoria (Hart), and grandson Aaron J. Clow. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 11 a.m. in Saint Theresa Church, Henniker, New Hampshire. Burial will follow in Sunny Plain Cemetery, Bradford, New Hampshire.
