CLAREMONT — The Claremont Police Department, in conjunction with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Drug Task Force, announced two arrests that were made on Friday, July 15, 2022.
According to a press release from the desk of Chief of Police Mark Chase, the two departments had been working together on monitoring “suspicious drug activity” in a downtown Claremont neighborhood. Complaints from area residents lead to the investigation.
During the time spent surveilling the area, detectives saw behavior that they deemed, “consistent with narcotics exchanges,” which led to them taking multiple individuals into police custody. This investigation then led to a search warrant for a Mulberry Street home. This warrant was done with assistance from the Attorney General’s Drug Task Force, the New Hampshire State Police, as well as the Sullivan County’s Sheriff’s Department.
Reportedly, cash, crack cocaine, a firearm, and a “significant quantity” of heroin were seized from the residence as a result of the search.
Two individuals were arrested at the scene; 29-year-old Ethan Marsh was arrested on charges of Possession of Controlled Drugs and Possession of Dangerous Weapons, while 44-year-old Sarah Heed was taken in for Possession of Controlled Drugs.
The press release states that both individuals have been released on bail, and that while the investigation is ongoing, further arrests into the matter are expected.
