69th Shrine Game on the Horizon

On Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Castleton University, there will be a pile of very good local football players from our region taking part in the unofficial kickoff to the football season. Vermont state championship teams from Windsor and Bellows Falls will have a total of seven players. Fall Mountain made it to the championship game and will have two players on the turf, and you can add in players from Newport and Kearsarge and you will have a total of 11 players representing our area on game day. Here is a list of who’s playing from our region at Dave Wolk Stadium, kickoff is set for noon.

Brady Elliott- Fall Mountain Regional High School, wide receiver and safety

Lucas Gay- Fall Mountain Regional High School, quarterback and defensive back

Devyn Heino- Newport High School, running back and defensive lineman

John Chambers- Kearsarge Regional High School, lineman

Dalton Clifford- Windsor High School, lineman

Austin Gauld- Windsor High School, wide receiver and linebacker

Benjamin Gilbert- Windsor High School, fullback and linebacker

Patrick Barbour- Bellows Falls Union High School, lineman

Jed Lober- Bellows Union High School, running back and linebacker

Jeb Monier- Bellows Falls Union High School, running back and linebacker

Jonathan Terry- Bellows Falls Union High School, quarterback and defensive back

In addition to the football players, we will also have some talent on the sidelines with local cheerleaders.

Ava Johnson- Stevens High School, Claremont, NH

Olivia Little- Stevens High School, Claremont, NH

Taylor MacLean- Stevens High School, Claremont, NH

Players will report to the University for camp on Sunday, July 31st.

The cheerleaders will report on Friday August 5th
