Peter, thank you for your letter saying you will do all you can about the cost of gasoline and the increased costs of making 55-mile trips to the VA. Actually, the answer is quite simple: Revoking some of the 17 executive orders Joe Biden signed right after he was sworn in as president. The orders slamming the brakes on the production of oil and gas signaled the immediate end of being energy independent and also ended the export of oil and gas to our NATO allies forcing them to go to Russia for their energy needs. The attempt to force the USA to immediately “go green” has to fail since the circumstances make it impossible to change to all electric. I wonder why those demanding change right now don’t realize the temperature has been changing ever since the end of the Ice age and humans have no effect in attempts to change it. All the efforts to “cancel Trump” and “go green” have resulted in impoverishing many of our citizens, empty store shelves, higher costs of everything all without any postive results in anything. I understand your belief that you will be a shoo-in to replace Senator Leahy. Time will tell.
Have a good day,
