Donald Pederson

Donald Pederson CLAREMONT — Donald (Don) Pederson, 77, of Claremont died August 20, 2022, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack. He was born in Claremont on November 17, 1945 and graduated from Stevens High School. Don eventually built his dream home in Unity before returning to Claremont in his retirement. On April 1, 1967, Don married the love of his life Janet (Dubois) Pederson. He served in the U.S. Air Force for six years. Don was self-employed for many years following his time in the Air Force. He and his beloved wife Janet owned the Tricology Hair Salon in Claremont. He invested in his Catholic Church community. Whether it was helping his wife decorate the church, serving at Mass, or volunteering as part of a Cursillo retreat team at the New Hampshire State Men’s Prison, Don made every effort to get involved and share the word of God. Don enjoyed fishing, remodeling, and great conversation. He will be remembered for the laughter he brought to peoples lives and for the warmth radiating from the maple sugar shack he built and boiled in for years. He was predeceased by his parents, Phillip and Beatrice Pederson, his wife, and his son, Sean Pederson (Belleville IL). He is survived by his son, Christopher, and his wife, Lauren, of Bedford; his daughter-in-law, Sue Pederson, of Belleville IL; and five grandchildren, Courtney, Audrey, Kathleen, Olivia, and Colby Pederson; a sister, Janice Ranney, of Cornish and her two sons, Jeffrey and Justin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday (8/31/2022) at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 32 Beech St., Newport. Per Don’s request, only a Mass will be celebrated. Memorial donations may be made to The Community Hospice House of Merrimack at www.hhhc.org by clicking the donate button, or by mailing a donation to Community Hospice House at 210 Naticook Rd., Merrimack, NH 03054. Their wonderful work brings love, care, and peace to everyone they touch!
