Meet the Author: Joe Steinfield

PROVIDED
On Saturday, September 10 at 1:00 PM, Claremont native Joe Steinfield will be at Violet’s Book Exchange, 28 Opera House Square, to discuss his new book, “Time For Everything: My Curious Life.” Joe’s previous book, “Claremont Boy,” contained essays about growing up in Claremont in the 1940s and 50s, and “Time for Everything” is partly a sequel to that book. Joe writes about his own experiences – “Friends and Heroes,” “Family,” “Being Jewish,” “Sports” (he’s a die-hard Red Sox fan), “Politics,” and more. The latter part of the book is called “Thinking About the Law,” something Joe has been doing for more than half a century. His articles about the Supreme Court and the Rule of Law are especially timely in 2022.

Monadnock Ledger-Transcript publisher Heather McKernan calls the book “a love story and a life story,” while former Massachusetts Governor and presidential nominee Mike Dukakis says, “Joe really hits this one out of the ballpark – lots of homespun common sense. “Judy Rodgers, owner of Prime Roast in Keene, finds Joe’s curious life “captivating.”

Joe hasn’t lived in Claremont since he graduated from Stevens High School in 1957. But he keeps coming back, as he will be doing on September 19.
