Norman W. Pollard

Norman W. Pollard LEMPSTER — Norman W. Pollard, 89, passed away peacefully at his home on August 31, 2022 after a brief period of declining health. He was born on November 12, 1932 in Lempster to the late Harry and Ella (Beckwith) Pollard. Norman lived his entire life in Lempster. He married the late Rita (Ayotte) Pollard and they shared more than 60 years together before her passing in 2020. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and camping. He was an avid gardener, giving his vegetables away to many people in Lempster. He especially looked forward to sweet corn. Norman worked at Sturm-Ruger for many years. He loved spending time with his family and liked to go fishing with his great-grandkids. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Dana Pollard in 2006; and by his wife, Margie Rita Pollard. Surviving family members include his grandchildren, Meredith and Matthew Pollard and his great-grandchildren, Spencer and Levi. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 10 AM at Lempster Cemetery on Mountain Road in Lempster. Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
