CLAREMONT — Saint Mary’s Parish in Claremont, New Hampshire will be holding their 14th Annual Yard Sale this Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Saint Mary’s Gymnasium.
The indoor yard sale is reportedly entirely made up of donations. Donations began being accepted at the gym on Monday, August 22nd, until Saturday, September 3rd. These two weeks have led to a room loaded to the gills with assorted odds and ends for prospective buyers.
According to a notice on the gym’s door for the event, items accepted for donation included CD’s, china, Christmas items, crafts, dishes, glassware, home decor, jewelry, linens, movies, pans, pictures, picture frames, pots, puzzles, small appliances, small furniture, tools, and much more. As stated by Norma Limoges, all items in the building have been priced with a sticker, placed on labeled tables or in labeled areas, and all proceeds from these items will go towards the parish.
Due to the size of this operation, Limoges stated that the event could not take place without the assistance of around 100 people, who both will have participated in the setup and on-the-day management of the sale. This will include seven cashiers, a sheriff who will help to oversee the sale’s layaway section, and those assisting customers with carryout. For those who will no doubt be leaving with a haul, there will be people on hand to help you carry your treasures to your car. On hand will be balloons for customers, which will signal the need for a carryout associate. The gym’s kitchen will be providing concessions during the event which, according to Limoges, will be manned by members of Claremont’s Knights of Columbus.
The yard sale will be running from 8 AM to 2 PM, when Limoges stated that the doors will promptly close. Those attending are advised to enter the gym from the Main Street side of the building.
