Brenda J. Clark

Brenda J. Clark LUDLOW, VT — Brenda J Clark, 72, passed away on September 5th, 2022 at her home after a long illness. Brenda was born February 17th, 1950 in Rutland VT., the daughter of the late Carson Strong and Catherine Blackwood. She married Stanley F Clark, her devoted surviving spouse, in 1971. They made their home in Springfield VT., raised their family and ran their rental property on Olive St. She retired from the Gill Odd Fellows Home in Ludlow VT where she was a devoted LNA who tended to their Residences with great compassion. Prior to that, she was a familiar face working at many local restaurants, The Paddock, Howard Johnsons, The Trolly Stop, Indian Shutters and Woodbine Cottages. She had an amazing laugh, a strong work ethic, and an engaging, generous nature towards others. She loved intimate gatherings with family and friends, and caring for her pets and her flowers. She was predeceased by two brothers, Gary and Robert Strong, and her dear Stepfather William Blackwood. Brenda is survived by her 3 children: Dawn Marie Nelson and her Husband Erik Nelson of Worcester MA, Stacie Faie Murchie and her Husband Geoffrie Murchie of Springfield, and Christopher Clark of Springfield. Three Grandchildren lit up her life, Amelia, Meadow and Miles Murchie. Bruce Blackwood of FL, her Brother, and Norman Clark her brother-in-law of Springfield and his Wife Carleen and a sister-in-law, Roberta Blodgett and her Husband Whitney of Shoram VT and, a dear friend, Nancy Kalinen. A private family service will be held at a later date with a Celebration of Life to Follow. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to a special charity or cause dear to your heart in Brenda’s name.
