Joseph A. Rozzo DOVER, NH — Joseph “Papa Joe” Anthony Rozzo passed away on Monday August 29, 2022, at his home in Dover with family by his side, after a brief period of illness. Born in Brookhaven NY, on May 1, 1948, he was the adopted son of Anthony and Margaret (Hablitz) Rozzo. Joe worked most of his life in sales for various companies but he most enjoyed his title as Justice of the Peace because he was able to perform wedding ceremonies. Though he grew up in NYC and Bayville, Long Island, he really found his peace on the water and in the woods. He enjoyed fishing, camping, kayaking, canoeing, water skiing, and boating. He loved being out on the beach and enjoying the sun. His favorite outdoor activity was hunting, which he looked forward to each year. Joe was perfectly described by an author who mentioned him in his book as “The Robust Italian.” He was good natured, and a storyteller. He had the gift of being able to talk to anyone about anything. He was a social guy that was a great conversationalist. Joe was also an avid reader and lifelong learner. He was a private pilot, scuba in structor, hang glider pilot, boatbuilder, archery instructor, boatcaptain, and hunter safety instructor during hislifetime. In April, Joeand his wife Bonnie, got to take theirdream trip togetherthroughout Europe ona Rhine River cruiseand visited places likeAmsterdam, Germany, France and Switzerland. He is predeceased by hisparents, Anthony, and MargaretRozzo, a brother Terrance Rozzo and foster brothers Matthewand Mickey Ersing. Joe is survived by his wife, Bonnie Ellen(Beaton) Rozzo, his son JasonRozzo and his wife Kathy, hisdaughter Jessica Rozzo, hisgrandchildren, Nick Rozzo,Cam Rozzo, and Zack Rozzo,Ella Rozzo all of Dover, NH aswell as a brother and sister-inlaw John and Elvera Rozzo ofBayville, NY, neices, nephews,cousins, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
