I had the privilege of working with Hope Damon on the “We Stand Up for Croydon Students” campaign. Although Hope’s daughters were past school age, she was concerned for the Croydon students who would not have the opportunity her girls had by attending their local school.
When the school budget was slashed at the annual school meeting in Croydon, she took exception and took to the phone asking the townspeople to rally in support of the original budget. She knocked on doors, wrote letters to the editor and supported the other members of the group. Even now she attends school board meetings.
I was impressed by her listening skills and how she got the information she needed to support the project. Hope is a good public speaker who listens and researches before she speaks. I saw that she looked at all sides of the problem before she formed her opinion.
I will vote for Hope Damom. for my Representative. I know she will work hard to represent our district. A vote for Hope Damom is a vote for a bright future.
