David E. Kinson CLAREMONT — David E. Kinson, 85 , of Lindy Avenue died on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH. David was born in Charlestown, NH on March 18, 1937 the son of Gerald and Helen (Merrifield) Kinson. He served 10 years in the U.S. Military in three different branches – Army, Navy and Marine Corps. After returning to New Hampshire, David was employed for more than 20 years by the City of Claremont as a police officer and firefighter. Active for many years in the Mason’s, David was a member and of both King Solomon’s Lodge #45 in Saxton’s River, VT and Faithful Lodge #12 of Charlestown, NH. He was a former High Priest of Jerusalem in the Scottish Rite, Valley of Keene. David was also involved with the Independent Order Of Oddfellows for many years, a member and Past Noble Grand of Sullivan Lodge #12 of Claremont and Past Grand Master of both New Hampshire and Vermont. He was a member of the Guyer/Carignan American Legion Post #22 of Lebanon, NH. David was predeceased by a son, William, three brothers and their wives Raymond, Gerald and Thomas; two sisters and their husbands, Deborah and Virginia. Family members surviving include his wife of 58 years, Maureen (Lynch) Kinson of Claremont; a son Matthew and his wife Teresa of Claremont; daughter-in-law Dawn of Dover, NH; 3 grandchildren, Jesse, Matthew (Jessica) and Brittney (Chris); and 5 great-grandchildren, Carter, Olivia, Elleanah, Elijah and Lochlan. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the West Claremont Burying Ground.
