Sunapee 9, Epping 0Sunapee’s play fluctuated throughout the course of the day, but one thing that remained constant: goal scoring. Liz Tschudin led the attack with four goals, Brynn Smith had three of her own and an assist, Clare Tuohy had a goal and a helper, Sophie Bourque found the score sheet on a beautiful shot and score late in the game and Izzy Correa added an assist to round out the scoring in a 9-0 win versus Epping High School.
“We actually did not execute today, as well as we practiced yesterday, despite the score. Some of that had to do with the smaller pitch and Epping’s commitment to defense, that said, I continue to stand by the idea that we are on to the concepts we want to play with, playing faster and with more intensity and fewer turnovers will put us where we want to be. Our practices are getting stronger, we need to bring that to the field on game day” said Lakers coach Myles Cooney
Sunapee is home on Friday hosting top ranked Newmarket at Alexander Field.
