Playoffs are just around the corner and our area will have plenty of teams invited to the show. Here are our ranking of the local teams.

Football1-Bellows Falls(6-0) 2-Windsor (6-0) 3-Newport(4-1)

The Terriers and Yellow Jackets are defending champions and have looked impressive during their undefeated seasons while the Tigers rebounded in a big was after suffering their only loss to Somersworth. Stevens(3-3) was out for the count only 2 weeks ago but Josh Duford has his troops right back in it after downing Fall Mountain(4-2) in the Silva Bowl and it looks like either the Wildcats and Cardinals will need help getting in.

VT top 4 in D2: Bellows Falls, Mt. Anthony, Brattleboro, Fair Haven

VT top 4 in D3: Windsor, Mill River, BFA, Rice

NH top 4 in D3: Trinity, Monadnock, Campbell, Fall Mountain

NH top 4 in D4: Somersworth, Newport, Bishop Brady, Raymond

Field Hockey1-Bellows Falls(9-0-1) 2-Newport(12-2) 3-Stevens(7-6)

The Bellows Falls beat undefeated Hartford on Tuesday while Newport finished in 2nd place in D3. Stevens(7-6) and Windsor(3-4) will get in to the playoffs where anything can happen and could surprise anyone taking them lightly.

VT top 4 in D1: Essex, Champlain, Bellows Falls, S. Burlington

VT top 4 in D3: Lyndon, Fair Haven, Montpelier, Windsor

NH top 4 in D3: Gilford, Newport, Newfound, Conant

Women’s Soccer1-Stevens(13-1) 2-Sunapee(11-2) 3-Windsor(8-2)

Stevens is the cream of the crop scoring 64 goals while allowing 4 this season including 10 shutouts. Sunapee and Windsor are peaking at the right time while Fall Mountain(5-8) gets better every game and Springfield(4-7) could make some noise.

VT top 4 in D3: Fair Haven, Stowe, BFA, Windsor

NH top 4 in D3: St. Thomas, Stevens, Gilford, Raymond

NH top 4 in D4: Newmarket, Littleton, Woodsville, Sunapee

Men’s Soccer1-Sunapee(8-3) 2-Fall Mountain(5-5) 3-Stevens(2-11)

With Windsor and Newport dropping their boys teams this season, there isn’t much to pick from. Clearly Sunapee is poised for a deep run and looking to make it back to back state championships for the Lakers. The biggest question mars are with the Wildcats and Cardinals. Fall Mountain has shown some outstanding play at times while the Cardinals could catch lightning in a bottle if they get some very key injured players back.

NH top 4 in D3: Gilford, Campbell, Mascoma. Belmont

NH top 4 in D4: Gorham, Concord Christian, Profile, Woodsville

VT top 4 inD3: Vergenes, Stowe, Enossburg Falls
