LTE: Ricci Has Right Temperament

Michael Ricci has the right temperament, decision-making skills and experience needed to be Windsor County assistant judge.

We have gotten to know Michael both while assisting the Norman Williams Public Library and while playing tennis. As both a member of the library and as a tennis coach, he has demonstrated attention to detail as well as an encouraging and compassionate attitude. He is able to effectively listen, communicate and connect with everyone. He always gives 100%.

Michael has lived in Vermont for the past 40 years, during which time he has served the community as chairperson of the Woodstock Board of Trustees, justice of the peace, member of Dartmouth Hillel Board of Directors, advisor to Tucker Foundation Fellows and the Dartmouth Environmental Conservation Organization, President of the Woodstock Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as well as a community volunteer for the Norman Williams Public Library, youth sports (including coaching), and school district.

Michael is the incumbent assistant judge, having been appointed to the position by Gov. Phil Scott in September 2021 to fill the remainder of a vacant term. He has the endorsement of two recently retired Windsor County assistant judges; Jack Anderson, Kenneth Cooper as well as Ellen Terie, who is retiring after two terms.
