I wholeheartedly endorse Hope Damon in her run for a seat in the state legislature serving towns in Sullivan County District 8. I have known Hope for about eight years, serving on the grants committee for the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation. She serves as the co-chair of this committee and has helped the organization gain statewide prominence by attracting up to 60 grantee organizations seeking funds annually to address challenges faced by women and girls.
Both Hope and I now serve as board members of the Women’s Foundation and I have witnessed her consistent approach of listening, asking questions and educating herself before sharing her view. She does her homework and gets involved. A longtime resident of Croydon, she and her husband have raised their daughters and have their own small businesses. When Hope was diagnosed with cancer, she embraced the challenge and continued the family tradition of raising funds for cancer research through the Prouty Bike Challenge.
True to form, Hope has been attending community-based meetings in many of the towns within District 8. She listens and learns about the local concerns and actions towns are making on behalf of their residents. When you go to the polls on November 8, please vote for Hope Damon to serve as your next legislator.
