Elaine Madeja

Elaine Madeja CLAREMONT — Elaine Priscilla (Faith) (Blanchard) Madeja, 80, passed peacefully on October 20, 2022 at the Jack Byrne Center surrounded by her family. Elaine was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of David Faith and Priscilla (Desrochers, Faith) Blanchard. She lived the majority of her life in Claremont and was a member of St Joseph church. Elaine is survived by her brothers, David Faith, Shawn Faith, James Faith, sisters, Evelyn (Faith, Blanchard) Miller, Mary Faith, sister-in-law, Patricia Faith, son, Marc Madeja, his wife, Danielle Madeja, daughter, Jayne (Madeja) Thedford, her husband, Henry Thedford, granddaughters Brooke Madeja, Raquel Madeja, Katelyn (Thedford) Ford, great-grandson Maverick Ford, and numerous extended family members. She is predeceased by her husband, Stanley Joseph Madeja, son, Joseph Stanley Madeja, and grandson, James Henry Thedford. Elaine was a devoted, loving, wife and mother. She had a huge heart and an unparalleled nurturing, caring nature. She greatly loved her family, extended family, and several close friends, and was so loved in return. Elaine was an animal lover as well, always having a dog by her side. She also had a monkey at one time that she loved dearly and was very proud of. She worked for many years at the woolen mill in Claremont and was president of the union for several of those years. She took pride in supporting and standing up for other people, and for her beliefs in what was right. Services will be for both Elaine and Joseph Madeja. Calling hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home on Friday, November 11th from 5-7pm. A memorial service will be at the Funeral Home on Saturday the 12th at 11AM, followed by graveside service in St Mary Cemetery. A reception will follow at Marc’s house for all who would like to attend at 42 Ledgewood Rd, Claremont
