Denise Green and Terri St. Laurent will fill the Warner Historical Society’s Upton Chandler House Museum with art during the weekend of November 18-20. In Denise’s words, the women share with us their “lifelong collaboration of sharing each other’s lives and love of art.”
The two artists played together as children and could always be found in the art room at school. Their lives took them along separate paths, but they regularly came together around art. And what wonderful art the two have created!
Terri specializes in photography, watercolors, and acrylics. Denise is primarily known for her watercolors, but also works with pastels and has “a couple of really fun acrylics” for this show.
The weekend begins with an opening reception on Friday November 18, 5pm-7pm. The show is open Saturday November 19, 10am-4pm and Sunday November 20, 11am-3pm. The museum store will be open with new tee shirts featuring original artwork by Denise Green of the Dalton covered bridge in Warner. The Upton Chandler House Museum is located at 10 West Main Street.
The Warner Historical Society formed over 50 years ago to preserve, educate about, and keep alive Warner’s heritage. The Society has yearly exhibits and programs in the Upton Chandler House Museum on Main Street and maintains the Lower Warner Meeting House which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
