REGION — With the 2022 Midterm Elections in the books, here are the results from the Vermont towns in the Eagle Times’ coverage area.
WINDSOR COUNTY, Vt.-
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Peter Welch won the race for the U.S. Senate in a ten-person race with 1,928 votes over contender Gerald Malloy at 1,232 votes.
Becca Balint won an 11-person race with 1,733 votes over contender Liam Madden with 1,168 votes for the seat in the Vermont House of Representatives.
Incumbent Governor Phil Scott won a 15-person race with 2,374 votes over Brenda Siegal at 634 votes.
David Zuckerman won a three-person race for Lieutenant Governor over Joe Benning with 1,499 votes.
Mike Pieciak won the seat for Vermont State Treasurer with 1,835 votes in a three-person race over H. Brooke Paige with 1,389 votes.
Sarah Copeland Hanzas won the seat for Vermont Secretary Of State in an eight-person race over contender H. Brooke Paige with 1,387 votes.
The seat for Auditor of Accounts was taken by Doug Hoffer at 1,725 votes in a three-person race
over contender Richard ‘Rick’ Morton with 1,438 votes.
Charity Clark won the seat for Attorney General at 1,822 votes in a four-person race over contender Michael Tagliavia at 1,377 votes.
Alison H. Clarkson won a Vermont State Senate seat with 1,666 votes, Richard ‘Dick’ McCormack won a seat in the senate with 1,669 votes and Rebecca White won a senate seat with 1,603 votes in a 13-person race for the three open seats.
Incumbent Alice M. Emmons took a seat in the Vermont House of Representatives with 1,861 votes and Incumbent Kristi Morris also took a seat with 1,925 votes in a 33-person race.
Frederick Glover took the seat for probate judge with 2,175 votes in a 26-person race.
Alison Johannensen took the seat for assistant judge with 1,667 votes of David Singer with 1,556 votes.
Vermont States Attorney was taken by Ward Hunt Goodenough in a landslide with 2,327 votes in a 32-person race.
Ryan Palmer won the race for Sheriff with 1,705 votes over Michael Chamberlain with 1,406 votes in a 13-person race.
Elizabeth Kuruska took the seat for high bailiff with 1,583 votes over Claude E. Weyant with 1,219 votes.
WEATHERSFIELD, Vt. — Peter Welch took the seat for Vermont U.S. Senator with 820 votes over Gerald Malloy with 568 votes in an 8-person race.
Becca Balint took over the seat for Vermont Representative with 742 votes over Liam Madden with 533 votes.
Incumbent Governor Phill Scott took the Governor’s seat with 1067 votes over Brenda Siegel with 238 votes.
It was a close race for Lieutenant Governor with David Zuckerman at 679 votes and Joe Benning at 673 votes in a five-person race.
Michael Pieciak won the seat for Vermont State Treasurer with 751 votes over H. Brooke Paige 657 votes in a two-person race.
Sarah Copeland Hanzas won the seat for Vermont Secretary of State with 772 votes over H. Brooke Paige with 619 votes in a two-person race.
Doug Hoffer took the seat for auditor of accounts with 718 votes over Richard ‘Rick’ Morton with 657 votes in a two-person race.
Charity Clark took the seat for Vermont State Attorney General with 752 votes over Michael Tagliavia with 633 votes in a two-person race.
Incumbents Alison H. Clarkson with 680 votes, Richards ‘Dick’ McCormack with 691votes and Rebecca White with 652 votes took the three open seats in the Vermont Senate.
John Arrison took the Vermont House of Representatives seat with 826 votes over contender Stuart Lindberg with 537 votes.
Frederick Glover won the seat for probate judge by a landslide with 1,139 votes.
Vermont States Attorney was taken by Ward Hunt Goodenough in a landslide with 1001 votes in a 12-person race.
Sheriff was taken by Ryan Palmer with 732 votes over Michael Chamberlin with 654 votes in a four-person race.
Elizabeth Kruska took the seat for high bailiff in a close race with 616 votes over Claude E. Weyant 612 votes in an eight-person race.
Ginger Wimberg won the seat for Justice of The Peace by 977 votes.
WINDSOR, Vt. — Peter Welch for U.S. Senator took over at 1008 against Gerald Malloy at 390 in an 8-person race.
Becca Balint won by 883 votes over contender Liam Madden at 410 votes in a six-person race for a seat in the Vermont House of Representatives.
Incumbent Governor Phil Scott took the lead in a five-person race over Brenda Seigel at 341 votes.
David Zuckerman took the lead for Lieutenant Governor at 799 votes in a three-person race against Joe Benning at 542 votes.
Mike Pieciak took the lead for State Treasurer with 906 votes in a three-person race over H. Brooke Paige at 458 votes.
Sarah Copeland Hanzas took the lead for Secretary of State by 922 votes over H. Brooke Paige.
Doug Hoffer took the lead Auditor of Accounts in a two-person race with Richard ‘Rick’ Morton at 499 votes.
Charity Clark took the lead at 911 in a two-person race with Michael Tagliavia at 476 votes.
Three people took the lead for Vermont State Senator in a six-person race, Rebecca White at 830 votes, Alison H. Clarkson at 822 votes and Richard ‘Dick’ McCormack at 835 votes.
John Bartholomew at 955 votes and Elizabeth Burrow 924 ran uncontended for Vermont State Representative with 107 write-ins.
CHESTER,Vt. — Peter Welch took the most votes with 884 votes over Gerald Malloy with 445 votes for Vermont State Senator in an eight-person race.
Becca Balint took 795 votes over Liam Madden with 459 votes Vermont State Representative in a seven-person race.
Governor Phill Scott overtook the votes with 975 votes over Brenda Siegel with 332 votes in an eight-person race.
David Zuckerman took the most votes for Lieutenant Governor with 690 votes over Joe Benning with 616 votes in a nine-person race.
Michael Pieciak took the most votes for Vermont State Treasurer with 831 votes over H. Brooke Paige with 533 votes in a five-person race.
Sarah Copeland Hanzas took the most votes for Vermont Secretary of State with 809 votes over H. Brooke Paige with 536 votes in a four-person race.
Doug Hoffer took the most votes for state auditor with 770 votes over Richard ‘Rick’ Morton with 571 votes.
Charity Clark won the most votes at 833 votes over Michael Tagliavia with 517 votes for Vermont State Attorney General.
Incumbents Alison H. Clarkson with 763 votes, Rebecca White with 728 votes and Richard ‘Dick’ McCormack took the most votes home for the three open seats in the Vermont State Senate in a nine-person race.
Heather Chase took home the most votes at 823 votes over Eva Ryan for Vermont State Representative in a three-person race.
Frederick Glover took home the most votes for probate judge at 1,129 votes in a six-person race.
Alison Johannensen took home the most votes at 733 votes in a three-person race against David Singer with 614 votes in a three-person race.
Ward Hunt Goodenough took home the most votes at 993 for Windsor County State’s Attorney in a 13-person race.
Ryan Palmer took the most votes for sheriff with 792 votes over Michael Chamberlin with 536 votes.
Elizabeth Kruska won the most votes for high bailiff at 732 votes over Claude E. Weyant with 442 votes.
CAVENDISH, Vt.— Peter Welch took home the most votes for Vermont State Senator with 364 votes over Gerald Malloy who received 256 votes in a nine-person race.
Becca Balint came in first for Vermont State Representative with 334 votes over Liam Madden with 244 votes in a six-person race.
Governor Phil Scott took 506 votes for the governor’s seat over Brenda Siegel with 112 votes in a five-person race.
Joe Benning took the most votes at 316 votes over David Zuckerman for Lieutenant Governor with 287 votes in a three-person race.
Mike Pieciak took the most votes for Vermont State Treasurer with 352 votes over H. Brooke Paige with 295 votes in a two-person race.
Sarah Copeland Hanzas took the most votes for Vermont Secretary of State with 366 votes over H. Brooke Paige with 277 votes in a two-person race.
Doug Hoffer received 340 votes for Auditor Of Accounts over Richard ‘Rick’ Morton in a two-person race.
Incumbents Alison H. Clarkson with 320 votes, Rebecca White with 292 votes and Richard ‘Dick’ McCorrmack with 284 votes received the most votes in a six-person race for the three open seats.
Stuart Lindberg received the most votes for Vermont State Representative with 329 votes over John Arrison with 318 votes in a two-person race.
Frederick Glover ran uncontended with 559 votes for probate judge.
Alison Johannensen received the most votes with 299 votes over David Singer with 288 votes for the seat of assistant judge.
Ward Hunt Goodenough ran uncontended for Windsor County Vermont States Attorney with 468 votes.
Ryan Palmer took the most votes with 354 votes over Michael Chamberlain with 267 votes in a two-person race for sheriff.
Elizabeth Kruska took 309 votes over Claude E. Weyant with 268 votes for high bailiff.
WINDHAM COUNTY, Vt.—ROCKINGHAM/BELLOWS FALLS, Vt.- Peter Welch took the seat for Vermont State Senator with 1,270 votes over contender Gerald Malloy with 429 votes in an 8-person race.
Becca Balint won the Vermont House seat with 1,129 votes over Liam Madden with 530 votes in a six-person race.
Governor Phil Scott took his seat back with 1,125 votes over Brenda Siegel with 561 votes in a five-person race.
David Zuckerman won the seat for Lieutenant Governor in a three-person race with 1,053 votes over contender Joe Benning with 574 votes.
The seat for Vermont State Treasurer was taken by Mike Pieciak with 1,249 votes over H. Brooke Paige with 524 votes in a two-person race.
Sarah Copeland Hanzas took the seat for Vermont Secretary of State with 1,209 votes over H. Brooke Paige with 545 votes in a two-person race.
Doug Hoffer with 1,137 votes beat Richard ‘Rick’ Morton for the seat in auditor of accounts with 595 votes.
Vermont Attorney General was taken by Charity Clark with 1,196 votes over Michael Tagliavia with 545 votes.
Wendy Harrison took the majority of votes for Vermont State Senator with 1,061 votes over Nader Hashim with 913 votes in a six-person race.
Leslie Goldman took the most votes for Vermont State Representative with 1,179 votes over Michelle Bos-Lun with 988 votes i a five-person race.
Probate Judge was a one-person race with Jodi P. French at 1,373 votes against 30 write-ins.
Carolyn Partridge took the most votes at 1,051 votes against Lamont Barnett with 970 in a three-person race.
Vermont States Attorney for Windham County is Tracey Shriver uncontended with 1,360 votes against 49 write-ins.
Mark R. Anderson ran uncontended for sheriff with 1,349 votes against 35 write-ins.
Angela Lawrence ran uncontended for High Bailiff 1,352 votes against 24 write-ins.
“We had tremendous voter turnout,” said Katheen Neathawk, Town Clerk.
