Charles E. Magwire Jr. SPRINGFIELD — Charles E. Magwire Jr. 94, passed away on Monday November 28, 2022, at Evarts House in Windsor, Vt. He was born November 12, 1928 in Springfield, Vt. the son of Charles E. Sr. and Ruth (Pulsipher) Magwire. He graduated from Springfield High School class of 1947, served in the United State Army from 1948 to 1952, and graduated from Stockbridge School of Agriculture in 1954. Charles was employed for 34 years with Oscarson Auto Supply in Springfield, Vt. and 3 years with Bond Auto Supply before retiring. He is survived by two daughters; Pamela Cotnoir (Richard) and Carla Kamel ( John Vorder Bruegge) , one sister Betty Lyon, three grandchildren Adam Belville, Nathan Cotnoir, and Jennifer Christy, six great grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews. Charles was very thankful for the excellent and compassionate care provided by the staff at Historic Homes of Runnemede – Evarts House. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to the Historic Homes of Runnemede 40 Maxwell Perkins Ln, Windsor, VT 05089. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday December 2, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Springfield, Vt. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Springfield. Davis Memorial Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
