Robert A. Joslin

Robert A. Joslin CLAREMONT — Robert Allen Joslin (Bob), passed away peacefully, at home February 11, 2023, after a period of failing health. Bob was born January 13th, 1939, in Bellows Falls, VT. He was 84 years old. Bob leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Pamela, sister Sharon Meier, brother Roger Joslin, son Donald Joslin and wife Tami, daughter Melissa Hall and husband John all of Claremont NH, son Dana Joslin and wife Paulette of North Carolina, son Chris Rasmussen of Portsmouth, NH, son Joseph Joslin and wife Denise of Walpole NH and daughter Linda of North Conway NH along with many grandchildren, niece and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his mother, Vere Silvia LaFlam and father George Harold Joslin and step-son Steven Meyette Jr. Bob first worked for the town of Charlestown NH as a bus driver and janitor, then New Hampshire Highway Department as a driver, then for Joy Manufacturing starting in 1971 where he worked as a inspector specialist and a union rep until his retirement. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved nothing more than hunting and fishing. He spent countless hours in the great outdoors, always seeking the perfect catch or the perfect shot. He took many trips to Alaska to visit family and friends and of course, to hunt and fish. Bob was also known for his exceptional baking skills. He was famous for his delicious apple pies and could often be found in the kitchen whipping up a pie, filling the house with the sweet aroma of cinnamon and sugar. Bob also had quite a green thumb and had large gardens with vegetables, herbs and flowers, and was proud to share what he had grown with family, friends, and neighbors. Bob will be missed by all who knew him. He was a kind, gentle soul who loved the simple and quiet life. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather and friend. Visiting hours will be at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont, NH on Thursday February 16th from 5pm to 7pm. Graveside services will be Friday February 17th at 11AM at St. Marys on Plains Road in Claremont, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sullivan County Humane Society in Bob’s memory.
