Shirley (LaClair) Kennet CHARLESTOWN — It is with extreme sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley (LaClair) Kennett, on the morning or February 13, 2023. Shirley was an amazing, strong, independent, and stubborn lady. Even at the age of 72. She will be deeply missed forever! Shirley was born on January 2, 1951 in Claremont, NH the Daughter of Leon & Beatrice (Kingsbury) LaClair. Shirley was a hard worker for many years, which included, Sullivan County Nursing Home, Sturm Ruger, Encore Shoe, & doing Home Health Care. Unfortunately, her declining health would no longer allow her to work, which weighed on her heavily. She is survived by her Husband of 26yrs Wendell Kennett, a Brother Johnnie LaClair, her loving Children Leonard Pillsbury, Kevin Pillsbury, Brian Pillsbury, Charlene LaClair, Guenter Roy Jr.,& Leonard Jackson (the Brother from another mother). She is also survived by her Stepchildren John Kennett, Jesse Kennett, & Jason Kennett. As well as many Grandchildren, Step-Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, & Step Great-Grandchildren. She was predeceased by both Parents, Sisters Charlene LaClair, & Candi (LaClair) Heath, Brothers Kenneth LaClair, Jimmy LaClair, & Stepdaughter Carol Dunn. Shirley loved her family deeply and never would give up on any of them. She took much pride in her good cooking, and great ability she had with gardening, whether it was flowers or vegetables. She really enjoyed time spent outdoors with her husband and many days by the water fishing together. She cherished spending time with all her Grandkids to whom many she was & always will be “MeMaw”. Her wishes were to be cremated and a graveside service will be held in the Spring. Arrangements are with Stringer Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH 03743.
