BELLOWS FALLS, VT – Gail Golec is a professional archaeologist and the creator, writer, editor, producer, and researcher for a podcast called The Secret Life of Death, and has compiled an extraordinary six-part podcast series about the former Andrews Inn. Recognized as the first gay bar in Vermont, the Inn existed as an oasis for LGBTQ+ people from 1973-1984. Located in the Windham Hotel building in downtown Bellows Falls, Vermont, locals would mingle with Amtrak train passengers from New York as they sought the privacy of a friendly weekend away.
The sixth and final episode of the series will culminate in a free listening party at Stage 33 Live, 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls, on Friday,
June 23 at 7:00 PM. After the episode, Golec will remain for an audience Q&A. Reservations are recommended no later than 6/22 by emailing [email protected]; include name and number of people who will attend.
