Balint to Celebrate Pride in BF

Bellows Falls, VT — Inaugural Pride activities in Bellows Falls throughout the month of June include weekly LGBTQ+ films, dances, a concert, photo exhibit and the first-ever Pride Whistlestop Tour. As if that wasn’t enough, the town is delighted to welcome a visit from U.S. Representative Becca Balint on Sunday, June 11 at 12pm to celebrate Vermont’s LGBTQ+ community and greet the Amtrak Vermonter as it pulls into the station.

Balint is the first woman and openly LGBTQ person to represent her home state of Vermont who is deeply committed to defending American democracy and protecting vulnerable communities. An enduring sense of justice, empathy and service has guided Becca’s career from the beginning – first as an educator who taught middle school in Windham County for fourteen years, then as an activist and State Senator and ultimately as the President Pro Tempore in 2021.

While in Bellows Falls, Balint will help decorate the train station for Pride, greet the crowd and passengers, and view the Andrews Inn Founders Exhibit at the Exner Block Gallery.
