Parade, Market and Music set for Saturday in Londonderry

Enjoy a small town Fourth of July, Gaelic music and shop for fresh organic produce Saturday in Londonderry.

The West River Farmers Market, at the junction of Routes 11 and 100, will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

This weekend’s market will host singer Claudine Langille, who will be performing original tunes and traditional music from Ireland, Scotland and the Americas.

Langille is known for her talent with the mandolin, tenor banjo and acoustic guitar, as well as her performances with Gypsy Reel.

At 11 a.m., take a step away from the market to enjoy Londonderry’s Fourth of July Parade.

Parking is provided in the farmers market lot or at the Londonderry Arts and Historical Society, 2461 Middletown Road. Market attendees are asked not park in the lots of neighboring businesses.

More than 40 vendors will offer food made-to-order, fine and handmade crafts, agricultural products and fresh organic produce.

West River Farmers Market 30th anniversary bags are also now available for purchase at the manager’s tent.

Those receiving SNAP/3SquaresVT benefits can receive extra money to spend on fruits, vegetables, herbs, seeds and plant starts at the market through the Crop Cash program. To participate, visit the manager’s booth to purchase $1 tokens using an EBT card to receive Crop Cash coupons to match that amount up to $20.
