Keene — Savings Bank of Walpole has promoted Danielle Ruffo to vice president of community engagement and marketing.
Ruffo was previously an assistant vice president and serves as the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act officer.
Ruffo has been with the bank since graduating from Keene State College in 2007 and previously worked in the retail, commercial lending, mortgage and finance areas before being chosen to launch the SBW Community Engagement program in 2018.
In her role, Ruffo is responsible for SBW’s community engagement, marketing/branding, social media and Community Reinvestment Act programs.
The program provides financial support, event sponsorship and promotion, volunteer service, board membership and counsel to more than 200 local organizations and initiativesl, according to a prepared statement from the bank.
“Dani was the perfect choice to launch and lead the Bank’s vision of greater engagement with our community” said Savings Bank of Walpole President Mark Bodin “We regularly hear that ‘SBW is everywhere’ and that is due to Dani’s work with community organizations and the SBW staff to find the right matches to provide meaningful experiences for all. This was especially true during the pandemic” said Bodin.
“Sometimes you hire the right person and set them loose — Dani is one of those people,” he said.
Ruffo is involved in many organizations, including Keene Housing Kids Collaborative, Ashuelot Concerts, The Monadnock Youth Coalition and Elm City Rotary. She is a lifelong resident of the region having graduated from Fall Mountain Regional High School and Keene State College.
