Carleton “Terry” Tarrien Jr.

Newton-Bartlett
Carleton “Terry” Tarrien Jr. NEWPORT, NH -Carleton “Terry” Tarrien Jr., born April 17, 1969, left this earth and went to heaven to be with his Mother Donna Tarrien and best friend Roland Partlow Jr., Saturday, June 24, 2023, after fighting a courageous battle with Stage 4 Lung Cancer that spread to his bones. Another great life cut way too short. Terry was known for being a hard-working man. He became a mechanic at the age of 17 working at Transmedic in Newbury until it shut down and continued to work every day until he became ill. He really knew his way around a transmission. Not only was he a car man, but he was also an outdoor man. He truly knew how to live off the land. He enjoyed time with friends canoeing up at the Saco River in Maine, camping, fishing, snowmobiling, shooting guns and sitting around a campfire with a beer and a smoke. Terry was a great friend to many and would give you the shirt off his back and stop what he was doing to help if you asked him or call around to find someone that could. A lot of people would say they were lucky to have known him. Along with cars and the outdoors, Terry’s greatest joy was his family. He loved his family fiercely. He will live in the hearts of his 3 children Natasha, Brianna, and TJ all of Newport and his 3 grandchildren, Jaylene, Jodeci, and Michael forever and always. He will also live in the hearts of his father Carleton Tarrien Sr. and siblings, Chuck, Lisa, Michelle, and Chris along with other family members. Whether you called him Daddy, Papa, Son, Brother, Cousin, or Friend, he made us all happy. He was a great man and will be missed greatly. Until we meet again. Funeral services will be held at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home at 42 Main Street, Newport, NH on July 22, 2023, between 2 pm and 4 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider helping with his funeral expenses. Buckets for donations will be at Coronis’s Market and Shop Express in Newport or make donations directly at the Funeral Home. You can also contact his daughter Natasha on Facebook.
