Enjoy the Enchanting Performance of Farm to Ballet At Billings Farm & Museum

By Eagle Times Staff
Ballet returns to Woodstock’s Billings Farm and Museum on Saturday.

Vegetables, animals and even the seasons come to life through whimsical dance.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the Farm to Ballet performance begins at 6:30 p.m.

With a mission to educate about sustainable agriculture through art, the Farm to Ballet Project brings a fresh and playful twist to traditional dance. The choreography of dancers in colorful costumes brings joy and elegance to the pastures. The ballet explores the relationship between farmers and land, natural food cycles and the human role in ecosystems.

Visitors can bring blankets or chairs to view the performance against a bucolic backdrop, with sheep, cows and draft horses in the fields. There will be treats available for purchase at the Farmhouse Scoop Shop and Bar Hill Gin will be on site with freshly canned Gin & Tonics, a sparkling Bee’s Knees cocktail, Vermont craft beer, and sparkling honey lemonade.
