Amy J. (Ralens) Huff

Amy J. (Ralens) Huff SUNAPEE, NH- Amy J. (Ralens) Huff, 71, of Cary Farm Road, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born in Brookline, MA on August 17, 1951 the daughter of Harold and Carlotta (Shwartz) Ralens. She graduated from Nathaniel Hawthorne College in Antrim and moved to New Hampshire. She met her husband Ted Huff and married him in 1990. Amy worked in various capacities locally before retiring to enjoy her love of gardening and fishing with Ted. Amy was a second mother to Ted’s sons Darren Huff and Brandon Huff, mother-in-law to Heather Wilkie Huff (wife of Darren) and a grandmother known as “Nana” to her three grandchildren, whom she adored. Amy was also a dedicated and loving daughter-in-law to Lottie Huff. In addition to her expertise in gardening, Amy was a masterful cook serving meals prepared from their garden, as well as her homemade pumpkin pies, tomato sauces, and pickles to enjoy year-round. Amy continued Lottie’s family tradition of making homemade sweet rolls and loved hosting her family for meals and holidays. Amy valued sharing the produce from their gardens and her homemade treats with family, friends, and others in Sunapee and was often seen delivering vegetables or pies around town. Amy cherished her friendships with women who spanned decades of her life and often had a story to tell from a road trip or an upcoming lunch date planned. Amy valued hard work, had a fun sense of humor, and loved her family with all her heart. Immediate family members who predeceased her include her parents, Harold and Carlotta Ralens, and Lottie Huff. Surviving family members include her loving husband Ted Huff; Darren, Heather and grandchildren Andrew, Madden and Reese Huff of Wilmot; Brandon Huff of Wilmot; extended family members and cherished friends. A service is scheduled for 10am July 14th at Eastman Cemetery in Sunapee with a luncheon to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Amy’s life.
