Michael C. Wilcox WINDSOR, VT- Michael Charles Wilcox, 69, died July 11, 2023, at the Jack Byrne Center at DHMC in Lebanon, NH. Mike was born August 3, 1953, in Windsor, VT a son of Marshall and Florence (Archambault) Wilcox. He grew up in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1973. He was married to the love of his life, Sylvia Jane Corliss, on December 1, 1973, in Windsor. Mike worked odd jobs during high school, and started working at Grand Union, working his way up to produce manager until 1984, when he took a position at Sturm Ruger’s manufacturing plant in Newport, NH. In 1991, Mike became a carpenter for Kevin Weeks before taking a job at Kiosko in Springfield, VT building Kiosks until they closed their doors. Mike found his niche at the Lebanon Co-Op where he worked until his retirement. Mike was a former member of the Windsor Jaycee’s. He enjoyed being around his house gardening or working on a project, helping friends, and lunch and dinner dates with his wife, friends, and former classmates. In their later years he enjoyed going to a friend’s camp with Sylvia in Island Pond, VT. His greatest joy came from watching and playing with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a sister Rachel Cusanelli. Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia Wilcox; a son, Matthew Charles Wilcox, and his wife, Shelley, all of Windsor; a daughter, Sarah Jane Shute, and her husband, Nathan, of Hartland; six grandchildren, Allison Griep and her husband JB, Ashleay Wilcox, Trevin Shute, Kobin Shute, Camden Burton and Skylar Burton; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pauline Danyew and her husband Ronald of Lynchburg, VA; an aunt; and cousins. A private graveside service will be held in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor. Knight Funeral Home in Windsor has been entrusted with arrangements.
