Teams from all over New England took part in the Steve Corcoran memorial Baseball Tournament at Monadnock park in Claremont.

Organized by the Claremont Youth baseball and softball Association, action concluded over the weekend with remarks and championship games being played.

Ahead of the championship games, Valerie Corcoran D’Aloia was joined by her her husband, Michael D’Aloia, and brother Michael and his wife, Christine Corcoran, as they talked about their dad, Steve Corcoran who passed away 31 years ago.

“He was a very spirited soul that loved athletics,” D’Aloia said. “He played all sports with a high level of competitiveness all while keeping extraordinary sportsmanship. He was a volunteer coach and really enjoyed giving back to his community here in Claremont. He just loved to teach the kids — including my brother and I — the game, how to be competitive yet humble and maintain a level head and always be a good sport.”
