CLAREMONT, N.H. — One Last Life welcomed a special guest Friday. Retired WWF Wrestler Mick Foley visited the store full of collectibles to sign autographs, take pictures with his fans and support the business.
Foley wrestled under many names, competed in numerous wrestling associations and is currently a company ambassador with the World Wrestling Entertainment Legends Program.
He was invited to One Last Life in 2022, which worked out great for him because he visits the White Mountains yearly.
“I get to meet great fans and make a little money as well,” Foley said. “What’s really nice is that, yesterday I was at the San Diego Comic-Con, which is the biggest Comic-Con in the United States, and today I’m here at a family-owned and operated business. I like each of them equally. I was addressing a panel of about 3,000 strong yesterday and, today, I’m in front of a smaller audience but I love meeting the people and putting smiles on faces.”
Foley said One Last Life owner Chris LaClair reached out to his agent in 2022 and, after searching out Claremont, Foley thought the location would be a great place for him to visit.
“I have a son on the autism spectrum. So, last year, he had his first full-time job at Clark’s [Trading Post], so we decided to stay for the summer and it was easy for me to drive a couple of hours to meet some fans.”
Andrew Spear watched Foley with his dad and couldn’t wait to shake his hand and get a picture with the star.
“Foley is hardcore,” he said. “He has his ear torn off and is one of the best. He has a lot more years ahead of him.”
Spear said it was his first visit to One Last Life and said the store is full of all kinds of “fun stuff.”
Youngster Dominick thinks Foley is a strong and cool wrestler and likes how One Last Life brought Mick to the store.
“The owner of One Last Life is my friend and my dad’s friend,” he said. “I like the Pokémon characters in the store.”
David Clark was wearing his hat he purchased from Red Neck Nation and likes that Foley has done “crazy things in the ring.” He’s followed him on television for years.
“He’s good for the fans and puts on a good show,” he said. “I’ve visited One Last Life for years and I’ve known Chris for years. He sells all kinds of different collectibles and it’s a great environment.”
