11 Area Players Chosen for Bowl

With a week to go, the area can expect to have 11 local players on the field for the 70th annual Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl game. Every year, injuries and availability issues change the final rosters, but as of right now, these are the players expected to report to camp Sunday.

Starting next week, the Eagle Times will highlight these players with a few words from their coaches.

Both teams will be staying at Vermont State University in Castleton for the week leading up to the game on Aug. 5 with practices taking place all week.

The Players

Stevens: Colby Shepard and Lucas Smith; Bellows Falls: Jake Moore, Jamison Nystrom, Caden Haskell and Dillon Perry; Newport: Karter Pollari and Tyler Gobin; Fall Mountain: Danny Farnham; Windsor: Maison Fortin and Logan Worrell
