Back for a return engagement, Sunapee Recreation is sponsoring a trip to New York City for a Broadway show.
Early in the morning on Saturday, Aug. 12, a group will travel to New York by coach bus. And, to keep costs down, meals will not be included and the trip is unchaperoned. The Recreation Department will only responsible for getting participants on the bus in Sunapee and getting back on the bus in New York. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The cost of the trip is $189.
Participants will be able to choose to see “Some Like it Hot” or “New York, New York.” However, a minimum of 10 people must sign up for either of the shows to offer the option. If the minimum number is not reached, there may be only one option.
The bus will depart from Sunapee High School at 5:30 a.m. and arrive in Bryant Park in New York City at 10:30 a.m. Participants will then have until 1:30 p.m. to eat lunch, sight-see and enjoy the city. Showtime is at 2 p.m. and theatergoers will get a few hours after the show to enjoy New York before leaving the city at 7:30 p.m. for a 12:30 a.m. arrival back in Sunapee.

Payment can be made via the RecDesk website or by cash or check to the Town of Sunapee — Recreation at the town office. Payment must be received within 48 hours of reserving a spot, or thew reservation will be offered up to the waitlist.
