As the week begins to draw to a close, both camps have their game plans in motion while trying to put the players into a position where they will be successful and fill a need.

Both Shrine coaches knew they would have players playing out of their normal positions but New Hampshire’s Chris Sanborn and Vermont’s Greg Balch knew this headed to camp.

Day 4

Captains were chosen on Wednesday.

Vermont captains are: Caden Haskell-Bellows Falls, John Bassett-Rutland, Miles Caplan-Burr and Burton, Jordan D’Amico-Mt. Mansfield and Dawson Wilkins-St. Johnsbury

“I’m super proud and excited to represent football at this level for Vermont. it is such an honor, i can’t wait to continue to carry on being a captain, and to all my other teammates that got chosen they deserved it just as much. I know in reality a good majority of these kids were captains on their teams so I know we have a team full of leadership and it’s great to be surrounded by it. I generated $4000 dollars for the Shriner’s and I couldn’t be more happy to be able to raise money for these children who may not be as fortunate as me.” said the Terriers Haskell.

“I am so ready, I may be used in multiple positions including free safety, returning punts and maybe kicking” said Jamison Nystrom of Bellows Falls.

New Hampshire captains: Zack Doward-Concord, Joe Pickitt-Rye, Caden Sanborn-Plymouth, and Rex Sullivan-Sanborn

“Well we have most everything installed for offense and defense, our practices are about an hour each. We will be special teams installed and Thursday and Friday will just be running though everything getting it down pat,” said Danny Farnham.

“Very excited for the game as this will most likely be the last game of football I play, so I am giving it my absolute everything” added the Wildcat lineman.

Day 5

“I’m probably the most excited that I’m allowed to represent my family, school, and state with so many other athletes that are most likely feeling the same way and also that I’ll be able to show how much commitment and passion I have for the game since I’ve had to learn all new plays and schemes” said Colby Shepard from Stevens

Windsor’s Logan Worrall said “I think we have a great team and I think if we play like I know we can we will win” when asked about his thoughts leading up to the game today.
